Jack sits on the lip of a manhole, a lone miner peering into the murky depths. These nightly delves tend to begin with this priming of the senses: breath held, eyes closed, questing out for any sign of danger.  Jack can't ever hear the bats from up here, but they've gone down enough times to know what lies waiting in the shadows of The Shaft.

With a start, Jack mounts the trusty Drill-Pick, a jury-rigged gem harvester that serves as both vehicle and weapon. The bit is wearing down, and fuel is increasingly rare these days. Gems are worth the risk, though. Maybe it'll be a short run tonight...

BitFall is a 1-bit push-your-luck platformer where you must journey down an abandoned cave mine. In this grim future, you play as Jack, a miner living on the edge of society, who risks his life every night by jumping into The Shaft to scavenge for gems. The mines are treacherous, and the dangers are lurking around every corner. The bats are your worst enemy, and they'll stop at nothing to prevent you from collecting your precious loot! You'll need to keep your wits about you if you're going to survive, and only the most skilled and courageous miners will be able to make it out alive.

With its eerie soundtrack, retro graphics, and unforgiving gameplay, BitFall is a game that will leave you on the edge of your sanity. So grab your Drill-Pick and get ready to take the plunge - just be sure to watch your step!
